Information Displayed

Your Account Information
Upon registration, you are required to provide a valid Account E-mail address that you must confirm in order to activate your account, and it may belong to your institution. We may also ask you to provide your real name and phone number (which might be shown). Your Account E-mail is never shown publicly.

Your Institutional Information
The name or acronym of your institution is shown publicly next to your name. If you are a verified institutional user (meaning you registered with your institutional e-mail, or was verified by a site moderator), you will receive a green check mark next to your name.

Your Contact Information
Your name is public however your contact information is never shown publicaly.

Your Trips' Information
Your trips' information, such as direction, location, date and time is public.

Your Facebook Information
All information we collect, with your permission, via Facebook is used solely to serve you to better find rides. A link to your Facebook profile may be accessible by any registered member so that potential companions can check your likes and interests.

Disclosing Information

We shall never provide personal information about you to other people, except when we have your permission, or under the following specific and extreme circumstances:

• When Autopooling is subject to court orders, subpoenas, or any other official legal process. Your information could be used to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
• When we suspect that user actions are in favor of illegal activities, or situations showing potential threat to the physical or mental safety of any person, or as otherwise required by law.
• In case Autopooling gets acquired or merged with another company, information about you shall be transferred, and you will be subject to other Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. However, we shall notify you prior to such an event.

Personal Information about you will be accessible to specific employees who will be assisting you and providing you with better user experience. Note that our employees will be subject to disciplinary actions, including termination of employment and/or criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet the obligations to which they are bound while working with us.
